キタ━━━(゚∀゚)━( ゚∀)━(  ゚)━(  )━(゚  )━(∀゚ )━(゚∀゚)━━━!!!!!

I was skimming through Desuchan for my daily Rozen Maiden dosage, until I saw a link to David’s Anime-blog regarding Tanaka Rie and NYAF 08.

The New York Anime Festival (NYAF) today announced famous Japanese voice actress Rie Tanaka will appear at its 2008 event as a Guest of Honor. Ms. Tanaka is most known around the globe for voicing Lacus Clyne in the anime series Gundam SEED, Chii in Chobits, and Suigintou in Rozen Maiden. New York is too far away for me who is currently in California. But since I’m a big fan of Teh RIE, I would really love to attend NYAF (*´Д`)ハァハァ .

Whats the cheapest air fare ticket from Lake Forest to New York cost?

*I missed Shoko-tan at Anime-Expo 2008, and has sad ;__;

    Duh, link bot breached.

    I’m still planning to go. Need to look for accomodation info there >_<
    Anyone going?

  11. Darry says :

    Lucky me, I live near NYC so I saw her today and went to her panel. She was sooo kawaiii! But you needed tickets for signing and only 20 are given out at a certain time. So crazy people who get there crazy early sell their extra tickets for around $50-70.

    >So crazy people who get there crazy early sell their extra tickets for around $50-70
    i really hate these moneya$$ faggots.
    fukcing kills the chance for other real fans to get once in a lifetime memorial

  13. Brian says :

    Ugh, I hate those people who just “rubbed it in”. I was very lucky to get a ticket but in reality those annoying “fans” could have done ALOT worse than just $50-70 USD. I saw one go for $150 USD, and I was like “….” I find that very cruel, people are going there very early, and for what? Rubbing in people’s faces, trying to make a fortune, and not going to see Rie? That’s inhuman and wasteful, people trying to take advantage on something like this.

    @Darry,
    Actually, it was 50 people, and I don’t think it includes VIPs. I lived about 15 miles from the place, and I still feel really bad for dragging my friend along and forcing my sister to drive me there very early. I felt really bad for ejump but I managed to support him.

  14. Kaami-chan says :

    i was wondering when the next NYAF will be?

  15. e-jump says :

    @Kaami-chan: They have yet to update the date on the site, but i bet its gonna be another September. I wont be in States this time. Unless I have sufficient funds and the seiyuu attending worth to die for =w=

  16. Brian says :

    @Kaami-chan:

    Next NYAF is at September 25-27, 2009, so its the same last weekend of September. As of today, there is no news about anything so far except for the date, and its the same location as 2008’s (meaning no known seiyuu, shows, panels, etc), until probably by the end of the month (according to the forums). Will the guests be the same as 2008? I’m not exactly sure on it.

    @e-jump:
    It’ll be nice seeing you again if you do manage to come to NY again. (Bring your shades….LOL)
